I wanted this month’s blog to be about digital microfluidics, the fundamental technology driving our data storage chips. But as I started writing it, I realized that it would be helpful to bring in a co-author, ideally someone who works day in and day out with these chips. So we are still in the process of crafting that article, and hopefully it will get to you in November.
Meanwhile, here are a few interesting updates:
1. I presented some of our work at the DARPA Generative Optogenetics workshop earlier this month. It was a small curated group, and I loved the fact that I got to have lunch with George Church (the OG synthetic biologist).
2. We are putting together our Scientific Advisory Board, and learning a lot about the process along the way. If any of you has pressing advice, do send them my way.
3. I am discovering some incredible communities in the Bay Area, such as an invite only lunch/dinner for South Asian women. These communities are offering me a space to connect with people without the pressure of networking, and helping me find meaningful connections.
4. Our product is shaping up in interesting ways, and we are exploring ways for you to play around with it. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
